Violinist Alastair Savages selects some of his top traditional music tracks

Traditional music runs like a thread through the Scottish Creations programme. In the first half there’s a new piece by clàrsach player and composer Ailie Robertson, whose background in folk music is often evident in her writing. The second half is a full hour of traditional music, which has been put together by violinist Alastair Savage. To get concert-goers in the mood, or indeed, to provide some further listening post-show, we asked Alastair to put together a playlist of some of his favourite tracks – happy listening!
