Scottish Ensemble receives an uplift in Creative Scotland funding for 3 years

We are pleased to announce that Scottish Ensemble has received an increase in Creative Scotland funding for 2025-28. This is a welcome endorsement of our vision to enrich and reflect a contemporary Scotland, connecting classical music with the here and now. We are also delighted to see increased investment in arts and culture across Scotland, underlining the essential role creativity has in making us healthier, our economy stronger and our communities more vibrant.

This investment means we can further our work as a beacon of Scottish creativity, making exhilarating musical experiences which deepen connections between audiences and artists, and enhance wellbeing. We will continue to collaborate with cultural organisations across the nation, and look forward to building partnerships with those new to the Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funding portfolio.

James Hardie, Chief Executive of Scottish Ensemble said: We welcome this crucial investment from Creative Scotland, following a number of years of standstill funding. This support will enable us to nurture and grow our performance and wellbeing work enriching communities across Scotland. We look forward to working with partners across the country to deliver our programme. I would also like to acknowledge the invaluable ongoing support of local authorities, individual donors, and trusts and foundations. With this funding now in place, we look forward to putting our bold and ambitious strategic plans into action.”

As we shape our plans for 2025-26 and beyond, we look forward to welcoming audiences to our performances and inviting participants to engage in our transformative wellbeing programme. Keep up to date with all of our news by signing up to our e-newsletter.
