Scottish Ensemble & Jasdeep Singh Degun – Rheingau

Leeds-born sitarist, Jasdeep Singh Degun, is one of Britan’s leading voices in the Indian Classical tradition. His music complements the ancient traditions of raags with contemporary compositional techniques to create sparklingly cinematic music for sitar and strings.

Playing in collaboration with Scottish Ensemble, Jasdeep spins a musical tale, driven by the beautiful spontaneity of Indian traditional music while transporting you through layers of mesmerising melody.

Bringing together traditions of Indian and Western Classical music, Scottish Ensemble and Jasdeep Singh Degun first collaborated in performances in Scotland and Manchester in October 2023. They subsequently performed together at King’s Place in Janaury 2024, for the Scotland Unwrapped series. Now, we bring this special collaboration to Germany for a one-off performance at the 2026 Rheingau Musik Festival.
