Following an action-packed four days in Inverness on our city residency, Scottish Ensemble bursts into its Mozart & Moz-art tour, opening at Eden Court on Fri 24 Oct and taking in Aberdeen (25 Oct), Perth (26 Oct), Edinburgh (28 Oct) and London (30 Oct).

It is with great pleasure that we are joined by one of the most acclaimed and distinctive pianists of his generation, Perth-born Alasdair Beatson, for another exciting collaboration – this time providing a brilliant showcase of the distinct styles of both Beatson and Scottish Ensemble.

Between the light-footed, high-spirited grace of Haydn‘s Concerto for Violin and Piano No.6 in F Major and Mozart‘s Divertimento in D, K136 and Piano Concerto No.12 in A Major nestle two contemporary (and very different) reflections on the Classical masters: Arvo Pärt, in his mesmeric and profoundly moving Mozart-Adagio, and Alfred Schnittke in his theatrical and mischievously funny Moz-Art à la Haydn.

With tickets very nearly sold out in Inverness, we recommend booking yours now so as not to miss out on a wholly enjoyable evening of sparkling refinement with a satisfying contemporary twist.
