Join us again for Sound Space!

We’re so thankful to the many schools who tuned in and wrote to express gratitude for our first musical lunch break and we’re delighted to say we’re back! This time we’re going to be joined by some of our talented friends from the Dunedin Consort who will add their voices to our strings.

We know 2020 has been a tough time for young people and teachers alike, so we’re delighted to be offering our second special free online lunchtime concerts to all schoolchildren in Scotland, with a selection of music to both calm and uplift us in the middle of our day.

As well as giving young people the chance to hear some of Scotland’s best musicians perform live, just for them, the concert will also have a well-being focus. In these 30-minute performances, we’ll pack in music to energise, music to help you reduce stress or anxiety, and music that covers a whole range of other emotions young people might be experiencing in these unusual times.

You don’t need to know anything about music to enjoy and benefit from tuning in to this performance. We’ll introduce all the musicians and music and our special guest presenter Lucy Drever will ensure everyone feels welcome. You can watch as a whole school, or as a class or individual; it is entirely flexible and open to everyone. All performances will have BSL interpretation.
