Fixed term 5-month freelance contract, with possibility of extension
3 office-based days per week (plus touring depending on candidate skills – please see job description for details)
Fee dependent on experience
Scottish Ensemble (SE), one of the UK’s leading ensembles, is widely recognised for its world-class performance standard and imaginative approach to artistic and creative learning projects.
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a freelance Project Manager for an initial fixed period, with the possibility of review and extension. Contract terms will be dependent on whether the candidate is able to fulfill the touring responsibilities set out within the job description.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in an arts environment, preferably the performing arts, as well as a demonstrable passion for classical music.
The contract would suit someone currently working in arts administration, with experience in either creative learning or project planning. Experience of stage or tour management would also be a distinct advantage.
Based at SE’s busy office in Glasgow, this post has responsibility for coordinating SE’s annual programme of concerts, events, and creative learning activity, in conjunction with the Director or Artistic Planning.
If the successful candidate has touring responsibilities, a driving license is also essential.
