Following a period of significant growth in the work of Scottish Ensemble, we are delighted that Creative Scotland has taken the decision to make a substantial investment in our plans for the next three years. Their investment during funding period 2015-18 is £1,000,000 which represents an increase in our grant of around 14%. Creative Scotland has clearly recognised the strength of our plans and ability to deliver them.
In recent years our work has evolved significantly. Major developments have included the introduction of the innovative City Residency model, a substantial increase in international profile and engagements, and a greater number of concerts in Scotland and throughout the UK.
Plans for the next three years include international cross-artform collaborations, the next stage of development in the City Residency model, work with leading soloists and composers, and a number of prestigious international appearances. 2015 will also see the release of the first of three recordings to be produced with the internationally-renowned label Linn Records.
Details of our plans for 2015/16 will be released in 2015. SE would like to thank Creative Scotland for their support.
