Following pieces for strings by Mozart, Stravinsky, Debussy, Fauré, Prokofiev and more, our opening concert culminates in a Scottish Ensemble commission for piano, percussion and strings by composer and pianist Dave Maric.

“Scottish Ensemble’s programme for Cumnock is an exciting procession through musical history from the Baroque splendours of Purcell, the classical genius of Mozart, the soft, French, pictorial romantic beauty of Debussy and Fauré, and the energetic modernism of 20th century Russians, Prokofiev and Stravinsky.” Sir James MacMillan
