Continuing with the double-sensory experiences, SE musicians will act as moving (clothed!) models at this life drawing club with a difference, playing live in order to inspire your sketching or painting.
Budding artists, amateur sketchers, talented or talentless – all are welcome at this friendly, fun event. We’ll also be dropping in to some other local art classes throughout the week with the same idea of providing inspiration, before displaying the results at a temporary exhibition at Caird Hall on Friday.
About SE Residencies
SE Residencies aim to bring music, and the joy of music-making, to people who may not otherwise get to experience it, as well as providing invaluable outreach and education opportunities.
What that means in practice is SE musicians setting up camp in a Scottish city or town for three or four days and putting on a series of events tailored around the needs of that location, in order to make the biggest impact possible. Events and opportunities range from giving young musicians the chance to get inspiration and one-on-one guidance from professional musicians to allowing young people to experience live classical music for the first time, to taking performance out of the concert hall and into public spaces so more people can enjoy it.
The SE Residency series started in 2012, with the first Residency happening in Dundee shortly after that in October 2012.
