We’re delighted to be able to continue to connect with you online in 2021 and have some uplifting and positive news of what we have planned this season as we emerge from the dark winter months. We’re putting wellness centre stage with brand new events aimed at enhancing wellbeing through both music, and techniques and tools aimed at helping people find calm.
Read on to find out how you can take some time out for yourself and relax with music…
We’ve been working with the charity Maggie’s for several years, supporting and developing their brilliant work with people with cancer and their families. Listening to music is one of the easiest ways we can all enhance our well-being just now and we’ve developed our programme to bring you some free uplifting one-hour sessions based on using music alongside mindfulness to let you take a moment and breathe.
In these live online performances, we’ll combine our trademark live music for strings with reflections from Maggie’s Lead Psychologist on how we can all use music in our daily lives to help us feel better. No previous experience required and everyone is welcome. Register for a free ticket using the links below.
Bringing life and energy into your world, First Light signals our transition from darkness to brighter times. We’re delighted that Guest Director Max Baillie – who describes himself as a cross-pollinator of styles, soloist, chamber musician, improviser and member of Lodestar Trio and ZRI – will lead us on a journey through joyful, uplifting and optimistic music, including works by Haydn, Vivaldi, Jessie Montgomery, Steve Martland and Max himself. Through this striking filmed concert by Flux Video, we invite you to join us online to re-energise. Tickets are available from just £10 (+ booking fee).
