Donald Grant
The acclaimed fiddle player, arranger, and composer, Donald Grant, grew up immersed in traditional music, in a small village in the Highlands, and it was here that he realised his passion for gathering with others to share a love of music-making.
Donald combines the music of his homeland with contemporary influences absorbed through his many travels as a musician. He has worked with a variety of collaborators including Catriona McKay, Kate Rusby, Roy Bailey, Alistair Anderson, Luke Daniels, Jenna Reid, The Geoff Gascoyne Project, The Elias Quartet, Nicola Benedetti and others.
Donald’s recent solo performances include appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Southwell Festival, Cucagnan Festival, RNCM Festival and the Weesp Festival.
