Fridays At One

Scottish Ensemble’s Young Artists Scheme, in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, offers practical experience to strings students. During RCS Week, students enjoy an intensive five days of coaching with our musicians preparing for a public side-by-side concert as part of the RCS’s Fridays at One series. Following this, a small group of students are then selected to accompany us on tour, gaining invaluable experience of life as a professional touring musician.

We’re delighted that this year’s concert will be directed by Ensemble Resonanz’s Barbara Bultmann, who SE will work with later in the year at The Bridge festival. Together, we’ll showcase the results of a week of intensive coaching in a side-by-side performance including Stravinsky’s Apollon Musagète.
